Heralded by The Strad for her “blazing insight and dazzling virtuosity”, Amalia is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most versatile and in-demand artists, performing as concerto soloist across the world, and as the violinist of NZTrio. 

A first prize winner at multiple international competitions, Amalia has a repertoire of more than 40 concerti, including new commissions written especially for her. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras including I Virtuosi Italiani, NDR Radiophilharmonie, United Strings of Europe, Mexico State Symphony Orchestra, Filarmónica de Querétaro, Filarmonica Marchigiana, Vallejo Symphony, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, and on the legendary stage of Teatro Colón with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic.

 As soloist, Amalia has worked with conductors including Benjamin Northey, Eivind Aadland, James Judd, Gábor Káli, Christoph Altstaedt, Douglas Boyd, Tobias Ringborg, Tianyi Lu, and Christopher Dragon. 

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, she studied with renowned violinists Pamela Frank and Joseph Silverstein.
